The Faculty of Dentistry, Prince of Songkla University (PSU), led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Songchai Thitasomakul, Dean, along with Assoc. Prof. Chakree Ongthiemsak, Vice Dean for Academic and International Affairs, and Dr. Chirayu Ruengrungsom, Assistant Dean for Postgraduate Studies and International Affairs, welcomed an executive team led by Dr. drg. Pitu Wulandari, Third Vice Dean of Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), Indonesia and 16 undergraduate students participating in the Outbound Student Mobility Program, an academic activity under the MOU between the two institutions, from July 30 to August 2, 2024. The students gained extensive knowledge and dental experiences through the following activities:
July 30, 2024:
- Assoc. Prof. Dr. Songchai Thitasomakul, Dean, along with Assoc. Prof. Chakree Ongthiemsak, Vice Dean for Academic and International Affairs, and Dr. Chirayu Ruengrungsom, Assistant Dean for Postgraduate Studies and International Affairs engaged in discussions about future educational and research collaborations with USU. Also, students had the opportunity to visit the Research center and dental clinics.
- Attending a lecture on “Advanced Restorative Dentistry” by Dr. Chirayu Ruengrungsom.
July 31, 2024: Participating in a lecture on “Physiology of TMJ” by Asst.Prof.Dr.Nattapon Rotpenpianand and enjoying a field trip in Songkhla in evening.
August 1, 2024: Attending a lecture on “Updated Direct and Indirect Materials” by Dr. Margaretha Yessi Budiono (GC dental company) and having hands-on experience towards direct composite veneer by the injectable composite under the supervision of Dr. Margaretha Yessi Budiono, Dr. Chirayu Ruengrungsom and Asst.Prof.Khemtin Ratanasathien.
August 2, 2024: Delivering the group presentation on assigned topics.
